About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage multiple projects of moderate to high complexity concurrently and without direct supervision
  • Manage 3+ projects up to $150 million in value or a single project up to $100 million
  • Manage retrofits, greenfield, or brownfield projects for new or existing customers
  • Integrate scope from multiple KNAPP subsidiaries and third-party equipment
  • Manage projects with contractual, schedule, software development, and customer-specific risks
  • Lead global programs within the KNAPP Group when requested
  • Ensure timely communication among project stakeholders, KNAPP resources, suppliers, and customers
  • Steer all project-related activities
  • Produce, distribute, and file project documentation, including meeting minutes, agendas, critical path schedules, risk registers, correspondence, cost analyses, forecasts, status reports, and open-issues lists
  • Escalate issues appropriately to minimize project impact
  • Operate and negotiate independently within KNAPP policies and procedures
  • Champion projects within the KNAPP Group
  • Maintain communication with KNAPP teams, KNAPP AG, subsidiaries, site managers, implementation leads, and customers
  • Manage commercial items, project schedules, budgets, customer contracts, change orders, RFQs, subcontracts, and third-party equipment or service providers
  • Coordinate internal project resources across installation, commissioning, product, procurement, and engineering teams
  • Drive resolution of project-related open issues
  • Manage project teams that may include Project Manager I or II, site managers, installation supervisors, and commissioning engineers
  • Serve as a knowledge leader and potential process owner for project management tools
  • Mentor Project Manager I or II on KNAPP processes and project management skills

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Passport or ability to obtain passport
  • Travel required: up to 50% quarterly international travel
  • Professional office etiquette required at all times
  • Physical requirements may include sitting, squatting, walking, reaching out to arm’s length, reaching overhead, lifting between 50–100 pounds, and reading
  • Strict adherence to KNAPP’s drug-free workplace policy
  • Candidates subject to drug screening and expected to remain drug-free during employment
