About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the maintenance team to rectify software and electro-mechanical faults
- Resolve PLC-related issues and provide shift subject-matter expertise
- Manage operations and maintenance of automated storage and retrieval systems and picking systems
- Respond to emergency calls at customer sites
- Track problems through successful resolution
- Provide emergency breakdown and specialized maintenance support
- Set up and calibrate precision automated equipment
- Develop strong working relationships with customers and operational teams
- Achieve contractual performance metrics for output, response time, repair quality, and workmanship
- Train customer maintenance and operations teams
- Maintain and support conveyors and precision automated equipment
- Produce timely, well-written reports
- Execute quality, safety, and statutory procedures
- Attend KNAPP and customer leadership meetings and provide progress updates
- Log parts usage accurately using established tools and procedures
- Maintain supplied tools and equipment
- Submit accurate timesheets and documents biweekly for approval
- Perform mechanical strip-down and reassembly, basic field wiring, machine calibration, and system testing
- Complete reactive repairs and provide hands-on issue ownership
- Interact with on-site management regarding repair and maintenance progress
- Follow setup instructions, assembly drawings, and checklists
- Provide customer service and detailed communications to internal and external customers
- Perform other duties as required
Requirements
What you’ll need- Industrial electrical/mechanical expertise and leadership/oversight experience
- Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automated equipment
- Experience with 480VAC, 240VAC, 120VAC, 48VDC, 24VDC, VFDs, and PLCs; Siemens preferred
- Expertise in installation of conveyors and precision automated equipment
- Ability to set up and calibrate precision automated equipment
- Ability to interpret electrical and pneumatic circuit diagrams
- Proficient mechanical aptitude, including reading assembly drawings
- Functional computer literacy with intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office experience
- Ability to perform risk assessments for maintenance tasks
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts on weekdays and weekends
- Authorization to work in the U.S. required
- Occasional travel required; valid passport or ability to obtain one
- Ability to lift between 50–100 pounds
- Reading and writing in English
- Professional office etiquette
