About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Coordinate field service activities, preventive and corrective maintenance planning, technician deployment, customer communication, and operational workflow management
  • Establish and maintain customer relations by responding to internal and external inquiries and promoting company products and services
  • Supervise and guide the team to complete reactive repairs within time constraints
  • Maintain customer satisfaction while achieving acceptable commercial return
  • Partner with the Planner/Scheduler on technician schedules, coverage gaps, operational priorities, and field-team leadership
  • Maintain accurate service, maintenance, asset, and work-order records in approved business systems
  • Perform data input and daily reporting for ASTA, Planning Tool, C4S, and SAP
  • Maintain and format Excel spreadsheets and generate daily, weekly, and monthly workflow and system-performance reports
  • Recommend process improvements that enhance service delivery and operational performance
  • Provide maintenance calculations and solutions to customers
  • Plan, schedule, and track corrective and preventive maintenance by task and priority using C4S, SAP, ASTA, and Planning Tool
  • Create and manage work orders, documentation, and assets in SAP and ASTA
  • Coordinate and support technical interventions and call-outs in C4S and other approved channels
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics, or control technology or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3+ years of relevant experience as a mechanical fitter, service technician or commissioning engineer or similar position
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience leading, coordinating, or managing teams and resources
  • Experience in facilities maintenance, field service operations, or preventive and corrective maintenance planning preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to work in a self-directed manner and provide direction to others
  • Ability to recognize opportunities for process improvements and assist with implementing them
  • Strong computer skills
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Office Excel and Access
  • Knowledge of various SAP software
  • Travel may be required up to 50%
  • Weekend work is required
  • Professional office etiquette is required at all times
  • Physical requirements may include sitting, squatting, walking, reaching to arm’s length, reaching overhead, lifting between 50–100 pounds, and reading
  • Strict adherence to KNAPP’s drug-free workplace policy; candidates are subject to drug screening and must remain drug-free during employment
