About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead a team in creating a hospitable environment for store associates and customers
- Develop strategic leadership and business acumen skills in store leaders
- Maximize store performance and profitability
- Create memorable customer experiences and build enduring internal and external relationships
- Demonstrate exceptional customer service and reinforce Chico’s FAS selling culture
- Attract, develop, and retain a high-performance team and build future bench strength
- Partner with senior field leadership and business partners to execute company initiatives across brand expression, selling culture, operations, and technology
- Teach and develop Store leaders to become entrepreneurial business leaders
- Develop and execute strategies for new customer acquisition and local community relationships
- Use customer feedback and insights to enhance selling culture and customer experience
- Provide weekly Customer Mindset context and communicate NPS and district feedback
- Manage expenses and control payroll
- Use reporting to maximize district efficiencies and implement action plans
- Monitor retail competitive trends and bring innovative solutions
- Read and analyze Profit/Loss reports and drive EBITDA
- Communicate expectations, provide guidance, deliver feedback, and empower the team
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School degree required
- Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred
- 5+ years of multi-store leadership experience within specialty retail preferred
- Outstanding leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to inspire and delight customers, build trust with business partners, and foster a team-oriented environment
- Demonstrated success driving results
- Expertise in selling strategies and methodologies, strategic planning, operational execution, and employee motivation
- Positive and self-motivated with a strong work ethic
- Ability to push through obstacles and maintain high personal standards
- Proficient computer skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, tablet/mobile devices, and social media
- Ability to identify and communicate macro or micro trends affecting the business
- Ability to travel, work weekends, and attend networking events when required
- Ability to stand, walk, kneel, stoop, climb ladders, use stairs, carry, bend, stretch, twist, reach, pull, and lift objects up to 50 pounds
- Constant walking/standing for 67–100% of an 8-hour shift
- Frequent climbing for 34–66% of an 8-hour shift
