About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide subject matter expertise to the Managed Services team for End User Computing and Microsoft 365
- Deliver formal requirements associated with service architecture, service design, service management, and configuration management
- Implement and continuously transform the End User Workspace Strategy
- Manage risks related to IT assets and services while driving cost efficiencies, mobility, and productivity
- Ensure resilience of the End User Computing estate and Microsoft 365 tenant and services
- Act as subject matter expert and advise and guide junior team members
- Lead implementation, development, and configuration of End User Workspace solutions for client infrastructure
- Handle complex End User Workspace escalations
- Provide third-line incident and problem management, including root cause analysis and resolution
- Engage as Digital Workplace SME across the department, wider function, and organisation
- Collaborate with Cyber Security and Information Security specialist areas
- Maintain current technical skills and knowledge
- Ensure adherence to relevant industry frameworks and design principles
- Work with internal departments to deploy and integrate Microsoft 365 solutions, especially Intune
- Liaise with Microsoft counterparts, third-party vendors, external suppliers, and service partners on M365 and Intune testing, development, and transition
Requirements
What you’ll need- Extensive 3rd and 4th line support experience in End User Workspace technologies and managing M365 solutions, with a focus on Intune for device management and security
- Expert-level experience with Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions
- Hands-on experience with Intune for managing endpoints, implementing security policies, and ensuring compliance across Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS devices
- Experience managing and securing M365 environments, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, Defender, and OneDrive
- Proven experience implementing, managing, and optimizing M365 solutions, focusing on device management, compliance policies, and security
- Proven success mentoring and upskilling junior team members
- Expertise supporting international critical infrastructure and meeting 24x7x365 operational SLAs
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and take ownership of M365 and Intune configurations
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Relevant degree/postgraduate qualification, or substantial experience demonstrating expertise in End User Workspace, Microsoft 365, and Intune technologies
