About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Gather requirements and draft functional specifications for analyses and reporting
  • Define the scope, business rules, and acceptance criteria for requests
  • Identify available data sources and verify their reliability
  • Collect, explore, and format data from various systems
  • Detect and qualify anomalies, and track their resolution with technical teams
  • Monitor the proper execution of data warehouse loads
  • Design and maintain dashboards and KPIs in Metabase or Power BI
  • Translate analyses into clear, actionable recommendations
  • Present findings to teams and management, and train users to use dashboards independently
  • Propose new ways to leverage data
  • Help scope use cases and prepare data
  • Implement simple regression, classification, and time-series models, and explain their limitations
  • Keep the data dictionary and KPI repository up to date
  • Automate recurring processes
  • Apply GDPR and security principles to data processing
  • Stay up to date with data tools and best practices
  • Work with business departments, management control, project managers, marketing, application teams, and IT teams

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s to Master’s degree in statistics, business intelligence, applied mathematics, or a related field
  • Advanced SQL proficiency (PostgreSQL, MySQL/MariaDB, SQL Server)
  • Experience using Python or R for data analysis
  • Experience with a data visualization tool (Metabase, Power BI)
  • Knowledge of data warehouse principles (relational and dimensional modeling)
  • Strong foundation in statistics and knowledge of machine learning concepts
  • Technical English (ability to read documentation)
  • Knowledge of Azure Data Factory is a plus
  • You are rigorous, able to explain concepts clearly, and curious, with a passion for making data useful and understandable to everyone
