About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide hands-on, specialist care for adults with lifelong and potentially life-critical clinical needs in their own home
  • Provide personal care, medication and clinical interventions
  • Manage tracheostomies, ventilation and specialist equipment
  • Support PEG feeds and other specialist clinical interventions
  • Monitor clinical observations and recognise deterioration
  • Follow detailed clinical care plans and clinical protocols
  • Maintain accurate records and escalate concerns immediately
  • Work as part of a dedicated, nurse-led team with colleagues and family
  • Engage with non-verbal and deaf clients using alternative communication methods

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • A full UK driving licence
  • Experience in care or confidence undertaking clinical training
  • Excellent attention to detail and situational awareness
  • The ability to follow detailed clinical protocols consistently
  • Basic IT skills for communication and record-keeping
  • A genuine commitment to safe, person-centred care
  • Good standard of literacy skills and ability to understand written information
  • Good communication skills and clear spoken English
  • Willingness to learn alternative communication methods
  • Willingness to work as a team with colleagues and family
  • Applicants must already have the right to work in the UK
