About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide strategic operational leadership across services supporting children and adults with lifelong medical conditions and complex care needs
  • Ensure safe, effective and high-quality bespoke care delivery in individuals' homes
  • Maintain clinical governance, regulatory compliance and person-centred support standards
  • Drive service delivery excellence and oversee business performance
  • Support commissioning requirements and prepare services for current and future demand
  • Lead, support and develop nurses and care professionals
  • Provide operational oversight and guidance to Operations Managers
  • Collaborate with the Director of Clinical Skills and Senior Leadership Team
  • Oversee service safety, quality and compliance with CQC regulations
  • Support operational objectives, governance and continuous service improvement
  • Implement preventative measures to minimise risks
  • Oversee audits and quality assurance processes and address identified shortfalls
  • Ensure service users receive their full commissioned care hours
  • Maintain contingency plans for staffing shortages and service delivery gaps
  • Oversee the end-to-end client journey from assessment and care planning through delivery and review
  • Build relationships with NHS healthcare teams, ICBs, Social Services, Case Managers and healthcare professionals
  • Represent Komplex Care at MDT meetings, case conferences and safeguarding discussions
  • Prepare and present KPI reports at board level
  • Uphold safeguarding standards and organisational reporting protocols
  • Maintain professional integrity and appropriate boundaries

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Proven senior management experience within health and social care
  • Direct healthcare experience advantageous
  • Strong leadership capabilities, including managing, motivating and developing teams
  • Experience managing regulated services
  • Sound understanding of CQC regulations and compliance frameworks
  • Strong understanding of clinical governance, safeguarding procedures and the Mental Capacity Act 2005
  • Experience in patient care and service delivery
  • Experience with budget management and financial oversight
  • Understanding of commissioned and privately funded care services
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Initiative and sound independent judgement
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritise competing demands and remain calm under pressure
  • Commitment to safe, person-centred care and continuous improvement
  • Relevant management qualification in health and social care, such as ILM or QCF/NVQ Level 5 (desirable)
  • Experience using care management systems (desirable)
  • Experience developing and expanding services, including tender submissions and bidding processes (desirable)
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (desirable)
  • Legal right to work in the UK
  • Successful basic DBS check and satisfactory vetting
  • Compliance with the Data Protection Act 2018, GDPR and company information and data protection policies
