About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support implementation, maintenance, and improvement of the KONE safety management system
- Cultivate an actively caring safety culture and act as a role model
- Compile, maintain, and improve safety documentation
- Participate in safety committees and forums
- Provide professional safety advice and support
- Plan and implement safety improvement projects and activities
- Work with customers, partners, and KONE subcontractors
- Support crisis and emergency response plans
- Monitor and develop safety risk management processes, tools, and practices
- Support safety-related change management initiatives
- Collect, measure, validate, and report safety data and performance
- Monitor legal and business developments affecting safety
- Conduct safety audits and identify risks, noncompliance, and deviations
- Support line management with safety audits and visits
- Analyze and investigate incidents and improve investigation processes
- Manage corrective and preventive actions
- Develop personal safety-specialist competencies
- Support training and development of safety competencies
- Communicate safety information, investigation outcomes, and best practices
Requirements
What you’ll need- UAE Nationals only
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field
- NEBOSH certification is mandatory
- Three to five years of experience in safety, ideally within the elevator industry
- Trakhees-approved Safety Engineer
- Fluency in English is advantageous
- Strong interpersonal and people management skills
- Proficiency in problem-solving, incident management, auditing, and analytical tasks
