About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own product direction for AI Management modules connecting, governing, supervising, and optimizing agentic AI
Define requirements, write specifications, prioritize the backlog, and drive feature delivery with engineering
Drive cross-product infrastructure work and manage dependencies across AI Management and Kong’s broader platform
Navigate shared roadmaps and negotiate priorities across teams
Own product roadmaps, balancing feature development, technical debt, infrastructure work, and platform dependencies
Partner with engineering leads to scope work and make trade-off decisions
Maintain a reliable delivery cadence
Coordinate communication among engineering, design, product marketing, and leadership
Keep stakeholders informed, surface risks, and ensure alignment across time zones and teams
Support regional field activities, including customer-facing calls, product marketing input, and sales enablement
Report directly to the Director & Head of AI Products

Requirements

What you’ll need

7–10 years of product management experience
Track record of owning and shipping technical products
Experience in agentic AI, infrastructure, developer tools, and/or platform software ideally
Experience driving product delivery across distributed teams and time zones
Ability to translate ambiguous technical problems into clear product requirements
Strong written and verbal communication in both languages
Solid project management instincts
Technical understanding of MCP servers, transport protocols, request routing, data plane architecture, and infrastructure trade-offs
Direct experience with agentic AI development and products is a bonus
Familiarity with enterprise platform engineering and infrastructure, including data planes, control planes, Kubernetes, cloud-native architectures, and/or platform engineering workflows, is a bonus
Legal authorization to work in the country where the position will be worked
Must answer whether visa sponsorship is currently or eventually required
