About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Elicit and clearly document business and systems requirements
  • Assess business process and system inefficiencies
  • Participate in use-case discovery sessions
  • Assist with strategic planning activities
  • Produce analysis documentation, including business requirements, scope matrix, use cases, sequence diagrams, future state proposals, and UAT plan
  • Collaborate closely with developers to implement requirements
  • Identify needed test cases based on business processes and solutions
  • Create test plans and documents
  • Execute tests on all solutions and work with developers to address bugs and issues
  • Assist with change requests and business processes
  • Identify deficient or inefficient business processes and recommend, develop, and implement improvements with Government approval
  • Capture business processes during discovery sessions
  • Gather and collate business requirements and autonomously compose process documentation
  • Identify logical inconsistencies or gaps in business-process knowledge throughout use cases
  • Draft and implement test cases and determine testing routes
  • Participate in system demonstrations for customers, agencies, conferences, and educational meetings
  • Produce workflows, PowerPoint slide decks, graphs, charts, and visuals for requirements

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • U.S. Citizen
  • Ability to obtain an Active Secret Clearance
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of prior management or technology consulting experience, preferably in the Public Sector/Federal Government
  • Experience gathering requirements remotely, working in a fully remote setting, and working with cross-functional teams
  • Strong understanding of Agile software development processes
  • Experience in requirements development for applications, experiences, websites, products, and services that balance user needs, business objectives, and technological constraints
  • Experience producing client-facing deliverables and presentations and participating in client meetings
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Able to function, adapt, and succeed in a constantly changing, fast-paced environment
  • Positive attitude and motivation to deliver the highest quality work
  • Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Self-organized and structured, with the ability to define your own tasks
  • Experience with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and G Suite
