About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Partner with business stakeholders, Product Owners, technical teams, and program leadership to understand business objectives, processes, and technology needs
- Elicit, analyze, document, and validate functional and technical requirements
- Create and maintain epics, features, user stories, acceptance criteria, business requirements, process flows, and supporting documentation
- Write clear, detailed, and testable user stories for development and QA teams
- Collaborate with Product Owners and development teams to refine and prioritize the product backlog
- Support Agile ceremonies including backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and release planning
- Serve as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams
- Develop and execute UAT strategies, test scenarios, test cases, and validation plans
- Coordinate UAT activities with business users, QA, development, and product teams
- Validate delivered functionality against documented business requirements and acceptance criteria
- Identify, document, prioritize, and track blockers and defects through resolution
- Use JIRA to manage requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, defects, tasks, sprint activities, and reporting
- Analyze technical issues with developers and technical leads to determine root causes and solutions
- Support technical delivery involving applications, integrations, APIs, databases, data flows, environments, and system dependencies
- Support end-to-end software development and implementation activities from requirements through post-production support
- Track risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, and action items
- Provide program management support including status reporting, milestone tracking, meeting coordination, RAID management, dependency tracking, and management updates
- Coordinate activities across multiple teams and workstreams to support delivery schedules and program milestones
- Assist with release readiness and address outstanding defects, requirements, and UAT issues
- Identify process improvement opportunities in business analysis, testing, Agile delivery, and program processes
- Maintain project documentation and communicate requirements, testing status, risks, issues, and delivery progress
Requirements
What you’ll need- 7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, QA Analyst/Tester, or similar role within technology delivery environments
- Substantial experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Demonstrated experience gathering, analyzing, and documenting business and technical requirements
- Extensive experience writing user stories and detailed acceptance criteria
- Strong hands-on experience with UAT planning coordination, execution, and defect management
- Advanced experience with JIRA, including managing user stories, epics, tasks, defects, workflows, dashboards, and reports
- Strong technical understanding of software applications, system integrations, APIs, databases, data flows, and SDLC processes
- Experience working directly with software development and QA teams
- Strong ability to translate business requirements into clear, actionable technical requirements and test scenarios
- Experience creating test cases, test scenarios, test scripts, and traceability between requirements and testing
- Experience identifying, documenting, prioritizing, and tracking blockers and defects through resolution
- Experience supporting program and project management activities, including risks, issues, dependencies, milestones, status reporting, and stakeholder communications
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively across multiple teams and workstreams
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (preferred)
- Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), PMI-PBA, or similar certification (preferred)
- Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or equivalent Agile certification (preferred)
- ISTQB, CSTE, or other software testing certification (preferred)
- Experience with Salesforce, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or comparable Agile/ALM tools, Power BI, Tableau (preferred)
- Experience working with APIs, SQL, data validation, or other technical analysis tools (preferred)
- Experience supporting enterprise-scale technology transformation or modernization programs (preferred)
- Experience working with distributed or cross-functional technology teams (preferred)
