About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop scalable backend APIs and microservices using .NET 10 for CTIS-M and Regulated Garbage workflows
Build and enhance frontend components using React, Material UI, and .NET
Implement workflow logic for routing, notifications, document upload, inspections, observations, and incident-related steps
Write unit tests and integrate automated test execution into CI/CD pipelines
Manage Azure DevOps Git workflows, branching strategies, pull request reviews, merging, and repository housekeeping
Maintain and update Azure DevOps YAML build and release pipelines
Troubleshoot build failures and deployment or environment-related issues with QA
Develop and consume APIs integrating MuleSoft and CTIS-related enterprise systems
Validate system interactions across backend services, workflows, and cross-agency USDA systems
Optimize database interactions and contribute to Azure SQL schema updates
Support deployments and operations within Azure Kubernetes Service, including containerized runtime troubleshooting
Monitor system logs for diagnosis, performance tuning, and incident response
Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily standups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
Collaborate with business analysts, UI/UX designers, MuleSoft developers, database architects, and QA engineers
Contribute to technical design reviews and provide guidance on system architecture and coding best practices
Prepare API specifications, workflow descriptions, design notes, and release documentation
Troubleshoot frontend, backend, DevOps pipeline, and integrated service issues
Support UAT by clarifying functionality and validating acceptance criteria

Requirements

What you’ll need

Professional experience developing with .NET, preferably .NET 10+
Hands-on experience with React or modern JavaScript/TypeScript frontend frameworks
Proficiency with Azure DevOps workflows and YAML-based build/release pipelines
Experience integrating with REST APIs and cloud services
Experience working in Agile Scrum environments
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
Must meet all Federal suitability requirements
