About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Empower individuals to establish achievable, measurable goals while monitoring progress and fostering sustainable behavioral change
  • Deliver platform-based behavioral health care and wellness coaching support to youth and young adults ages 13–25
  • Deliver prevention, wellness promotion, and psychoeducation through structured coaching sessions
  • Assist with warm handoffs to Care Coordinators and support case management
  • Offer behavioral health and wellness coaching interventions
  • Develop individualized care plans, goal setting, and action plans for positive behavioral change
  • Conduct risk assessment and mitigation
  • Address determinants of positive mental health
  • Support users in identifying problem areas, obstacles, and actionable wellness steps
  • Deliver drop-in and single-chat wellness coaching
  • Facilitate goal-setting based on immediate individual needs
  • Conduct mental health and wellness screenings and progress monitoring
  • Identify users experiencing or at risk of social, emotional, or behavioral difficulties
  • Support users experiencing crisis and facilitate referrals as needed
  • Moderate journals, goals, and user-submitted content in line with policy and compliance standards
  • Conduct risk assessment through written content and encourage safe engagement
  • Adhere to safeguarding, data protection, legal, and internal policy requirements
  • Communicate with users and external providers to ensure seamless care transitions
  • Attend clinical supervision, mandatory in-house training, professional development, team meetings, and performance management meetings
  • Maintain accurate and timely records
  • Support operational processes for consistent service delivery
  • Liaise with professionals regarding safeguarding and care concerns
  • Maintain certification or licensure as applicable

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Pathway A: Holds a current, valid Peer Support Specialist certification in the state of California or Nationally
  • Pathway A: Minimum education: GED/High School diploma
  • Pathway A: Competency or experience in peer support, strengths-based engagement, and providing emotional/behavioral support
  • Pathway A: Permanently reside within the 48 contiguous United States
  • Pathway A: Preferred: experience with crisis support services or related volunteer work
  • Pathway B: Education or relevant experience that supports behavioral health/wellness coaching competencies
  • Pathway B: Demonstrates ability to deliver structured and single-session coaching
  • Pathway B: Permanently reside within the 48 contiguous United States
  • Pathway B: Experience in youth mental health, care coordination, or digital behavioral health environments preferred
  • Pathway C: Holds a current, valid SUD Counselor certification in the state of California
  • Pathway C: Minimum education: GED/High School diploma
  • Pathway C: Demonstrated experience supporting individuals with substance use–related behavioral change
  • Pathway C: Permanently reside within the 48 contiguous United States
  • Pathway C: Preferred: crisis support experience
  • Bilingual in Spanish highly preferred
  • Position subject to a successful enhanced DBS check as part of recruitment procedures
