About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and deliver communications strategies for target audiences
- Work with marketing and creative teams, external agencies and advisors
- Draft press releases, talking points, executive briefings, op-eds, policy position papers and internal communications
- Support crisis communications and rapid-response activity
- Monitor cultural, policy, legislative and regulatory developments relevant to the business
- Translate developments into actionable insights for leadership
- Build and maintain relationships with policymakers, clinical leaders, campaign groups and regulators
- Represent Kooth in industry coalitions, working groups and public forums
- Partner with senior leadership, commercial, research and marketing teams to inform strategic decisions
- Turn internal insights into compelling stories and identify barriers to growth
- Lead tools and systems tracking the impact of policy and communications activity
- Own internal project management tools
- Work with data science colleagues on agents and workflow automation
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience in communications, public affairs or policy roles, or a related field
- Ability to write clearly and persuasively for media, policymakers, executives and the public
- Strong understanding of the policy and regulatory environment relevant to mental health
- Strong project management and administrative skills
- Excellent judgement and discretion
- Ability to work independently under time pressure
- Ability to learn quickly
- Ability to work collaboratively in a remote, geographically dispersed team
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- DBS check required prior to appointment
