About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Partner with the Talent team to coordinate the transition from offer acceptance through onboarding.
  • Coordinate pre-employment requirements, including background checks, employment eligibility verification, and required documentation.
  • Facilitate new hire orientation and tailor onboarding with managers and stakeholders.
  • Assign and track onboarding and required training through Rippling and Litmos.
  • Administer employee benefits, including enrollments, qualifying life event changes, records, and open enrollment activities.
  • Resolve benefits questions and issues with carriers, providers, and the People team.
  • Monitor HRIS benefits information, troubleshoot discrepancies, and coordinate updates.
  • Coordinate leave administration and process related requests, documentation, and HRIS updates.
  • Support payroll-related inquiries and employee changes.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential employee records and update trackers, documentation, and workflows.
  • Coordinate offboarding, exit interviews, employee communications, records updates, and termination meeting support.
  • Support responses to unemployment claims and preparation for hearings.
  • Improve administrative processes, data quality, and employee experience.
  • Help employees and managers apply company policies, benefits, and People processes.
  • Support compliance with federal, state, and local employment requirements.
  • Escalate sensitive or complex employee matters and contribute to People projects and training initiatives.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • At least 1–3 years of experience in an HR support or generalist role, with exposure to onboarding, employee records, benefits, and day-to-day HR administration.
  • Hands-on experience administering employee benefits and supporting employees with benefits questions.
  • Working knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws, including equal employment opportunity requirements; experience supporting employees across multiple states is a plus.
  • Experience using an HRIS to maintain employee data, process changes, and support onboarding and benefits workflows. Experience with Rippling or a similar platform is a plus.
  • Comfort using Microsoft Office and Google Workspace, particularly spreadsheets, documents, and shared files.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain processes clearly and respond with care.
  • Excellent organization and attention to detail, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Sound judgment and discretion when handling confidential information, along with the ability to recognize when an issue needs additional guidance.
  • A collaborative, service-minded approach and a willingness to take ownership, solve problems, and continue developing your HR knowledge.
