About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage the day-to-day delivery and continuous improvement of People Operations across the UK and US
  • Translate People priorities into processes, workflows, service standards, and team objectives
  • Monitor service delivery and ensure employees and managers receive timely, accurate guidance
  • Partner with People colleagues and business stakeholders across the employee lifecycle
  • Manage Rippling and other key People systems, including configuration, documentation, permissions, workflows, and data
  • Improve system adoption through simplified workflows, self-service, automation, integrations, and AI
  • Coordinate system vendors and implementation partners
  • Support system implementations, upgrades, testing, and change management
  • Manage UK and US payroll processes and coordinate with Finance and third-party providers
  • Oversee UK and US benefits administration, renewals, communications, and employee queries
  • Support administration of variable compensation plans
  • Manage, coach, and develop three People Operations Generalists
  • Set team expectations, priorities, and performance objectives
  • Maintain People data governance, policies, procedures, documentation, and employee records
  • Support compliance with UK and US employment legislation, GDPR, US data-privacy requirements, and internal governance standards
  • Produce People reports, dashboards, and insights for workforce planning and decision-making
  • Coordinate health and safety activities, records, training, risk assessments, reporting, and incident investigations across the UK and US

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Proven experience managing People Operations services and supporting the development of a high-performing team
  • Experience supporting employees and managers across both the UK and US
  • Hands-on experience managing HR systems, including HRIS implementations, automation, system administration, and continuous process improvement
  • Working knowledge of UK and US employment law, regulatory requirements, data governance, and payroll processes
  • Experience using automation and AI to simplify workflows, improve efficiency, and reduce manual administration
  • Strong People data and reporting skills, including identifying and communicating trends in attrition, absence, performance, and engagement
  • Experience administering or supporting employee benefits and reward programmes, including renewals and market reviews
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Strong project management, problem-solving, and prioritisation skills
  • Proactive, adaptable, and resilient approach with strong attention to detail
  • CIPD or SHRM accreditation is required
  • Experience working with Rippling is highly preferred
  • Candidates are subject to appropriate screening prior to appointment, including a DBS check
