About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct legal research and collect information
- Prepare legal comments, legal opinions, and drafts of real estate, infrastructure, and land contracts in Ukrainian and English
- Engage in legal due diligence and prepare reports based on analysis of real estate, infrastructure, and land plots
- Draft proposals and responses to client requests under a manager’s supervision
- Participate in client meetings and conference calls
- Communicate with state authorities, banks, notaries, and other parties
- Participate in marketing activities, including presentations, webinars, and articles
- Report to a manager on progress with client engagements and other tasks
- Develop concepts for implementing EU legislation in Ukraine
- Prepare draft regulations concerning construction and construction and demolition waste management
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum 2 years of experience at a legal consultant/associate position in a law firm
- Excellent knowledge of urban planning and real estate law, land, civil, corporate, and commercial law
- Knowledge of real estate and land law, antitrust and competition law, regulations on securities and stock market, energy and environmental legislation, and/or experience in drafting legislation is a considerable plus
- Fluent spoken and advanced written English
- Advanced user of Microsoft Office
- Experience researching information, including state registers, public databases, Verdictum, etc.
- University (institute) degree in Law (completed studies)
- Studies, e.g. LLM, in a recognized foreign university/college is a plus, not a must
- Good organizational and time-management skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
