About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own design end to end: discovery, concept, prototyping, delivery, and launch
Take products from zero to one, turning early ideas or rough problem spaces into products
Build new AI products for external B2C customers and internal AI products for Payward
Define problems, set direction, and make decisions in ambiguous situations
Design interactions for non-deterministic intelligent systems
Create visually rich, forward-thinking AI product experiences
Partner with product, engineering, and leadership to influence strategy and roadmap decisions
Prototype rapidly, test ideas, learn, and iterate
Conduct user research and use customer insights, data, and experimentation to guide development
Maintain a high bar for craft and user experience

Requirements

What you’ll need

7+ years of experience in product design
Portfolio demonstrating exceptional craft and impact
Track record of taking products from zero to launch as the lead or only designer
Experience owning the full design process end to end
Comfort with ambiguity and ability to make sound decisions with incomplete information
Experience designing AI-powered, generative, or probabilistic products is highly desirable
Strong UX and visual design skills
Advanced prototyping skills
Experience influencing product strategy and cross-functional decision-making
Strong systems thinking
Ability to complete job-related skills or work-style assessments
