About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Independently manage the recruitment process for selected vacancies—from drafting and posting job advertisements, reviewing applications, and supporting candidates through to conducting interviews and selection meetings
  • Provide on-site support to employees on all HR-related matters in Ahrensburg and Hamburg, as well as via email and telephone
  • Support the entire onboarding and offboarding process
  • Participate in feedback and employee meetings
  • Handle administrative HR tasks, including preparing employment references and retrieving electronic sick leave certificates (eAU) and A1 certificates
  • Maintain the HRIS and prepare relevant reports and analyses
  • Prepare payroll data and act as the interface with the external tax consultancy for monthly payroll processing
  • Provide administrative support in office management, including ordering office supplies and coordinating appointments with service providers
  • Support the planning and implementation of company events
  • Provide comprehensive operational HR support throughout the entire employee lifecycle

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Completed degree or comparable vocational training in human resources management, business administration, or a related field—or initial relevant professional experience in HR
  • Initial practical experience in operational HR management or HR administration, or experience as an HR generalist
  • Strong communication and service orientation
  • Confident manner when interacting with people at all levels, and enthusiasm for engaging with a range of people and departments
  • Conscientious and highly trustworthy handling of sensitive data
  • Structured, thorough, pragmatic, and proactive working style with a hands-on mentality
  • Proficiency in standard MS Office applications
  • Very good German and proficient English skills
  • Enthusiasm for the travel industry; initial exposure to the travel or cruise industry is a plus but not required
  • Basic knowledge of employment and social insurance law is an advantage but not essential
