About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Partner with business leaders to develop and implement HR strategies supporting organizational objectives
- Provide guidance on talent management, employee engagement, and performance management
- Analyze workforce metrics and trends to inform decisions and recommend solutions
- Collaborate with HR centers of expertise to implement programs and initiatives
- Lead complex employee relations investigations and resolution strategies
- Coach and develop managers through candid, actionable feedback
- Support recruitment activities, including interviewing, candidate assessment, and selection advice
- Partner with Talent COE on restructures, organizational design, change management, workforce planning, and succession planning
- Interpret and apply HR policies and ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations
- Advise leadership on Dutch employment law requirements
- Partner with local management on Works Council matters
- Ensure HR practices align with collective labour agreements, internal policies, Dutch payroll practices, pension arrangements, holiday allowance, leave entitlements, and local benefits administration
- Support absence management and occupational health processes under Dutch Arbo and reintegration requirements
- Partner with compensation and benefits teams to administer and evaluate rewards programs
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s in Human Resources, Legal or Psychology, or related field required
- Master’s or HR certifications preferred
- 7–10+ years of progressive HR experience, including experience as an HR Business Partner
- Experience operating as an HR Business Partner in the Netherlands or Benelux region
- Experience preferably within an international, matrixed organization
- Solid working knowledge of Dutch employment law
- Practical experience with Works Council processes, employee representation, sickness absence and reintegration, and local HR compliance requirements
- Strong business acumen and ability to influence leaders at all levels
- Proven experience in employee relations, recruitment, talent management, and organizational development
- Excellent communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
- Deep knowledge of laws and regulations impacting compensation, benefits, and equity
- Experience with HRIS, payroll, and equity administration systems preferred
- Ability to balance global HR standards with local Dutch employment practices
- Fluency in English and Dutch, both written and spoken, required
