About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage the full accounts payable cycle, including invoice processing, vendor relationships, and accurate, timely payments
  • Support rollout and ongoing adoption of the AI-powered accounts payable system
  • Own accounts receivable, including client invoicing, collections tracking, and follow-up on outstanding balances
  • Support month-end and year-end close through journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
  • Maintain accurate general ledger entries and financial records
  • Assist the Senior Financial Analyst and Senior Staff Accountant with financial reporting, audit preparation, and ad hoc analysis
  • Identify accounting and finance workflow inefficiencies and implement practical improvements
  • Use AI tools to automate routine tasks and surface insights from financial data
  • Collaborate with finance and cross-functional teams to resolve discrepancies and streamline processes
  • Report directly to the Head of Finance and Operations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in an accounting or finance role with hands-on AP and AR ownership
  • Strong understanding of general accounting principles and the month-end close process
  • Experience working in accounting software — NetSuite, QuickBooks, Sage, or similar
  • Demonstrated use of AI tools in day-to-day work; ability to discuss specifically how and where they are used
  • High attention to detail with a track record of accurate, organized financial recordkeeping
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines without losing momentum
  • Clear communication across departments and with external vendors
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred)
  • Experience with AI-assisted or automated AP tools and workflow automation (preferred)
  • Background in a SaaS, technology, or subscription-based business model (preferred)
  • Exposure to audit preparation or working with external auditors (preferred)
