About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Define, assess, and prioritize modernization roadmaps while considering cost and risk
- Design software frameworks, systems, products, system interfaces, and business application prototypes
- Identify and resolve framework design weaknesses
- Provide technical leadership to the application development team
- Perform design and code reviews
- Maintain uniform enterprise-wide application design standards
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align architecture with business requirements
- Create and maintain documentation for software architecture, application design processes, component integration, and testing guidelines
Requirements
What you’ll need- Architectural experience of large customer change and transformation projects
- In-depth knowledge and experience of hardware and software, including connectivity between platforms
- The Open Group – Master Certified Architect or equivalent (preferred)
- Prior hands-on experience working in a mainframe environment (preferred)
- Experience with mainframe projects involving Modernize On, Integrate With, and Move Off (preferred)
- Strong understanding of z/OS and IBM Software Products, as well as third-party mainframe software (preferred)
