About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Execute operational handovers and maintain stability across government and enterprise IT environments
- Administer, optimize, and harden Check Point firewalls, Fortinet FortiGate appliances, and Cisco switching infrastructure
- Manage Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy Objects, and user access controls
- Use PowerShell to automate tasks, system configurations, and operational reporting
- Oversee endpoint protection, XDR solutions, Syslog servers, and infrastructure monitoring
- Troubleshoot complex system, network, and security incidents
- Provide technical consultation and client-facing support to government stakeholders and enterprise clients
- Refine Network Access Control and security policies to meet industry standards
Requirements
What you’ll need- Proven hands-on administration experience across integrated system, network, and security environments
- Demonstrated experience administering Check Point firewalls and Fortinet FortiGate appliances
- Strong knowledge of Cisco routers, switches, enterprise LAN/WAN technologies, and Cisco CLI
- Hands-on expertise with Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, and Group Policy Objects
- Practical PowerShell scripting skills
- Strong familiarity with endpoint security, XDR solutions, Syslog logging, and central monitoring tools
- Excellent analytical troubleshooting skills and customer-oriented communication abilities
- Preferred: experience with Juniper and HPE switches or Portnox NAC solutions
- Preferred: background with Trend Micro Apex One, McAfee Web Gateway, or PRTG Network Monitor
- Preferred: experience supporting government ministries, highly regulated environments, or MSP setups
- Preferred: active Cisco CCNA/CCNP, Check Point CCSA/CCSE, Fortinet NSE, or Microsoft certifications
