About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Serve as the technical leadership link between Kyndryl and clients, governance, project executives, delivery teams, and vendors
Lead architecture workshops and design scalable GCP cloud solutions
Define workload migration strategies from on-premises data centers to the cloud
Build and deliver automated infrastructure, platform deployments, and configuration workflows
Design and implement secure CI/CD pipelines using GCP Cloud Build, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Argo, and SonarQube
Perform architecture reviews to improve application performance and optimize costs
Build internal utilities for safer, high-speed engineering operations
Document technical frameworks and architecture workflows
Implement monitoring, SRE practices, and configuration management using technologies such as Anthos and GCVE
Consult with clients, gather requirements, define solutions, and lead implementation
Own cloud migration from discovery and assessment through dependency mapping, execution governance, and final cutover
Architect secure GCP landing zones and core infrastructure frameworks
Define, govern, and execute migration patterns while managing downtime planning
Select and provide architectural oversight for migration tools

Requirements

What you’ll need

Hands-on experience designing multi-tier, fault-tolerant, cloud-native enterprise applications, primarily using GCP and secondarily AWS
Solid understanding of systems, storage, security, and networking across traditional data center environments and public cloud (IaaS/PaaS)
Experience automating infrastructure and configurations using Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, and GitHub
Expertise building reusable release pipelines in Jenkins or AWS CodePipeline
Strong scripting skills in Python, Shell/Bash, PowerShell, and YAML
Hands-on mastery of Linux and Windows environments, including database and application interoperability
Experience leading DevSecOps/SRE projects, GitOps workflows, and CI/CD pipelines
Experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Argo, ELK, Terraform, CloudFormation, Anthos Config Management, and GCVE
Track record leading technical workshops with enterprise clients and designing cloud migration strategies
Proven ability to conduct architecture reviews, optimize performance and costs, and document technical frameworks
Ability to build utility tools and scripts such as Chef cookbooks
Experience owning end-to-end cloud migration lifecycles across multiple waves
Experience designing secure GCP landing zones covering networking, identity, security, logging, monitoring, and shared services
Experience defining and governing rehost, replatform, and modernization migration patterns
Experience selecting and overseeing migration tools for VMs, applications, databases, and containers, including GCP Migration Center, M2VM, and HCX
Required GCP certifications: Professional Cloud Architect; Professional Cloud Security Engineer; Cloud Developer / DevOps Engineer
Certifications or expertise in Terraform, Puppet, Chef, Ansible, and Jenkins
