About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and deliver cloud modernization and transformation initiatives for large, complex enterprise environments
- Align business strategy, IT strategy, enterprise architecture, and execution
- Define target-state multi-cloud and hybrid cloud architectures across application, data, infrastructure, security, and integration domains
- Lead legacy modernization strategies including re-host, re-platform, refactor, re-architect, and cloud-native adoption
- Establish architecture principles, standards, and guardrails
- Lead cloud strategy and modernization assessments
- Analyze current-state architecture and cloud readiness
- Develop application rationalization, migration, and modernization roadmaps
- Create business case, ROI, and TCO models
- Advise clients on cloud operating models, governance, platform teams, and product-centric delivery
- Provide FinOps and cloud economics guidance
- Support regulatory, security, and risk considerations
- Translate architecture into epics, backlogs, and execution plans
- Resolve complex architectural and transformation challenges
- Govern architecture through the delivery lifecycle
- Serve as escalation point for architectural risks, trade-offs, and decisions
- Build trusted relationships with CXOs, CIOs, CTOs, Chief Architects, and senior business leaders
- Lead executive workshops, architecture reviews, and transformation planning sessions
- Communicate complex architectural concepts in business-oriented language
- Develop cloud architecture frameworks, reference architectures, modernization accelerators, reusable assets, playbooks, and points of view
- Mentor and coach architects and senior consultants
- Represent Kyndryl in cloud partner ecosystems and industry forums
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field
- 10+ years of experience in enterprise IT, cloud consulting, or large-scale transformation programs
- Proven experience operating as an Enterprise Architect, Lead Cloud Architect, or Cloud Transformation Lead
- Strong expertise in cloud architecture across AWS, Azure, and GCP
- Expertise in enterprise architecture frameworks and patterns
- Expertise in cloud migration and modernization strategies
- Expertise in hybrid and multi-cloud environments
- Demonstrated ability to drive complex transformation initiatives from strategy through execution
- Strong executive communication, facilitation, and influencing skills
- English language knowledge required
- Fluency in French required
- Preferred experience with large Global System Integrators or top-tier consulting firms
- Preferred certifications such as AWS, Azure, or GCP Architect; TOGAF or equivalent EA framework; FinOps Practitioner
- Experience with platform engineering and product operating models
- Experience with DevSecOps and cloud-native architectures
- Experience in regulated industries including financial services, public sector, healthcare, or telecom
- Exposure to organizational change management and IT operating model transformation
