About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage day-to-day data center site operations
- Govern facility assets, site infrastructure, records, documentation, and facility-related data integrity
- Oversee real estate services, construction activities, and facility management services
- Manage operating expenses, financial performance, Opex and Capex planning, and cost-saving initiatives
- Manage third-party service providers, contracts, commercial agreements, service standards, and supplier compliance
- Implement RE&F project management standards, methodologies, processes, governance frameworks, global initiatives, technologies, and best practices
- Lead continuous improvement and operational excellence efforts
- Represent RDC and Kyndryl with service partners, suppliers, customers, and external communities
- Partner with stakeholders to ensure facility operations and project delivery
- Manage facility projects from initiation through completion
- Lead building openings, closures, expansions, consolidations, and refurbishment projects
- Develop project plans, schedules, budgets, and risk mitigation strategies
- Monitor project performance and communicate progress to stakeholders
- Collaborate with territory and site leadership, Marketing, Security, Corporate Health & Safety, CIO, Human Resources, RE&F teams, contractors, and service providers
- Translate business objectives into facility and infrastructure projects
- Support workplace and operational transformation initiatives
- Conduct project close-out reviews and capture lessons learned
- Mentor and advise colleagues and project teams
- Support business continuity, resilience, risk management, safety, sustainability, and employee-experience initiatives
Requirements
What you’ll need- Extensive experience managing data center facilities, critical infrastructure, and site operations
- Proven ability to maintain highly available, safe, and compliant facility environments
- Strong understanding of facilities management, vendor governance, and operational excellence
- Demonstrated success driving workplace experience, sustainability, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and coordinating diverse teams
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships with customers, suppliers, partners, and senior leadership
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- Advanced proficiency in English, written and verbal
- Experience leading facility, infrastructure, and real estate projects
- Knowledge of project governance, risk management, budgeting, timelines, quality requirements, and regulatory compliance
- Ability to coordinate internal teams, contractors, and service providers
- Ability to support operating and capital budget planning
- Professional certifications are highly desirable, including CDCP, DCDA, EPRO, BCM, OPRO, PMP, or PRINCE2
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and operational priorities
- Strong forecasting, investment planning, budgeting, reporting, audit readiness, and data-driven decision-making capabilities
- Demonstrated ability to lead diverse regional teams and influence stakeholders in complex matrix organizations
- Exceptional organizational, analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills
