About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design and develop backend services using Java and Spring Boot
Build and maintain microservices architecture for scalable applications
Develop RESTful APIs and integrate with internal/external systems
Collaborate with business analysts, QA teams, and architects
Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices
Perform unit testing, integration testing, and code reviews
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues
Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives
Optimize application performance and ensure high availability
Support deployment and release activities
Implement components from design documentation and functional programming specifications
Document, unit-test, and prepare components for integration
Architect solutions, test code, and build and deploy CI/CD pipelines
Provide work estimates for assigned development work
Guide features, functional objectives, or technologies for interested parties
Drive innovation and take ownership of work in cloud-based managed services

Requirements

What you’ll need

4 to 6 Years of overall experience as a Lead Engineer / Senior Software Engineer
Strong proficiency in Java (8 or above)
Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Data JPA
Solid front-end exposure using React
Strong experience in microservices architecture and REST API development
Good understanding of API design, versioning, and documentation
Experience working with relational databases such as Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL
Working knowledge of containerization technologies: Docker, Kubernetes (basic to intermediate understanding)
Banking / BFSI domain experience is highly preferred
Prior experience handling high-volume, high-availability enterprise systems
Experience playing a technical lead role with ownership of design and delivery
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience (preferred)
