About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as technical authority and trusted advisor for clients and stakeholders
- Define and drive infrastructure strategy and solutions
- Lead the end-to-end architecture lifecycle from requirements gathering through design, implementation, and delivery
- Design and govern enterprise infrastructure, data center, network, security, and cloud solutions
- Translate business and technical requirements into solution architectures, HLDs, LLDs, migration strategies, implementation plans, and technical roadmaps
- Lead infrastructure transformation initiatives including cloud adoption, platform modernization, data center migrations, technology refreshes, and brownfield/greenfield deployments
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, subject matter experts, vendors, governance teams, project executives, and delivery teams
- Drive continuous improvement, innovation, automation, capacity planning, and operational excellence
- Lead technical reviews, architecture governance, risk assessments, and implementation activities
- Mentor engineering and operations teams
- Act as primary escalation point for complex technical issues
- Monitor networks, resolve outages and bottlenecks, and coordinate vendor maintenance
- Provide 24/7 network support, disaster recovery readiness, and rapid P1/P2 incident resolution
- Establish structured engineering disciplines for network support operations
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum 7+ years of IT experience
- Solid understanding of data center systems, storage, networking, security, applications, and databases
- Experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Cisco, Aruba, Viptela, Infoblox, F5, Fortinet, Palo Alto, and other network platforms
- Expertise in carrier solutions, private cloud access, and virtualization
- Experience with Palo Alto firewalls, F5 reverse proxy, VPNs, Oracle SIP Federation, and Microsoft Skype Enterprise
- Hands-on experience migrating firewalls, upgrading firmware, and applying security patches
- Hands-on experience with AWS and Azure cloud hosting solutions; experience with GCP also listed
- Proficiency in Ansible and Python
- In-depth knowledge of Cisco ACI, including fabric, policies, L3Out, multi-pod, multi-site, global contracts, and micro-segmentation
- Ability to produce SOW, High-Level Design, Low-Level Design, and migration plan documents
- Experience using network monitoring tools to identify and resolve outages, latency issues, and bottlenecks
- Ability to handle business-critical network outages and P1/P2 incidents
- Ability to provide 24/7 network support and on-call support as needed
- Experience troubleshooting network issues and supporting L0 and L1 teams
- Advanced network platform installation and troubleshooting expertise
- Specialized knowledge of Cisco ACI and next-generation firewalls
- Proficiency in security solutions and voice technologies
- Meticulous network design, documentation, and project management skills
- MS Project or other project management software experience preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills preferred
- Ability to interact confidently with stakeholders of all levels preferred
