About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide functional support for SAP Finance and Controlling modules in AMS and production environments
Configure and maintain SAP FI submodules including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, and Fixed Assets
Support integration processes between SAP FICO and SD, MM, Procurement, Planning, and EWM
Analyze and resolve incidents related to financial postings, settlements, profitability analysis, GR/IR, IDOCs, DME, and EBS
Manage controlling processes including Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, Planning, Budgeting, Allocations, Assessments, and Top-Down Distribution
Perform root cause analysis and troubleshoot business-critical production issues
Customize SAP FICO configurations, validations, substitutions, user exits, and SAP queries
Support data migration activities using LSMW and other SAP migration tools
Work with SAP Notes for issue analysis, correction implementation, and system optimization
Collaborate with business users and technical teams to improve financial processes and ensure application stability
Participate in testing, deployment, and continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

What you’ll need

10+ years of hands-on SAP FICO experience in support and maintenance environments
Experience in at least 1-2 SAP IS-Retail implementations and/or multiple SAP support projects with SME-level responsibilities
Strong expertise in SAP FI modules including GL, AP, AR, AA, and Fixed Assets
Deep understanding of Controlling processes including Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, Planning, Budgeting, Allocations, Assessments, and Profitability Analysis (COPA)
Experience with end-to-end financial process flows including sales order transfer, billing integration, project settlement, production variance settlement, overhead allocation, and GR/IR processes
Strong knowledge of SAP FICO integration with SD, MM, Procurement, Planning, and EWM modules
Experience in configuration, customization, validations, substitutions, and user exits
Hands-on experience troubleshooting IDOC, DME, and Electronic Bank Statement (EBS) issues
Strong debugging, incident management, and SAP table analysis skills
Experience working with SAP Notes for issue identification and resolution
Proven ability to analyze business requirements and deliver effective SAP solutions
Experience with SAP IS-Retail business processes and retail industry solutions
Exposure to SAP S/4HANA Finance implementations, migrations, or support projects
Expertise in data migration using LSMW and legacy system integrations
Knowledge of financial closing, reconciliation, and compliance processes
Experience supporting large-scale global AMS engagements with SLA-driven support models
Strong stakeholder management, communication, and documentation skills
Ability to work independently in fast-paced production support environments
SAP FICO certification and exposure to advanced SAP Finance innovations are highly desirable
