About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Manage and coordinate end-to-end SAP Release and Transport Management activities across development, test, QA, pre-production, and production environments
Plan and maintain release calendars, deployment schedules, transport sequencing, dependencies, and deployment readiness
Coordinate with SAP Application Teams, SAP Basis/Platform Operations, Infrastructure Teams, and other stakeholders
Ensure compliance with Change and Release Management processes and maintain traceability across change requests, approvals, transports, documentation, and deployments
Manage release activities through SAP Cloud ALM, SAP Solution Manager, ChaRM, Rev-Trac, and ServiceNow
Validate technical readiness, deployment plans, rollback procedures, and operational prerequisites
Monitor release execution during production deployment windows
Lead identification, escalation, and resolution of transport, deployment, and post-release issues
Support stabilization and post-implementation verification activities
Maintain release reporting, risk tracking, stakeholder communications, and CAB governance participation
Drive continuous improvement, process automation, and operational efficiency
Guide and mentor account teams on service delivery best practices
Collaborate with Delivery Project Executives and account teams on resource allocation, tooling, procedures, security, privacy, quality policies, risks, delivery timelines, SLAs, and penalties
Validate Service Delivery Plans and oversee parts planning, education, service documentation, and support-kit preparation
Collect regional, geographic, and national-language-specific service needs

Requirements

What you’ll need

8+ years of experience in SAP Release Management, SAP Change Management, SAP Basis, or SAP Platform Operations
Strong experience with SAP Transport Management and release coordination
Experience managing releases across complex SAP landscapes and multiple environments
Strong understanding of SAP change, transport, and deployment lifecycle
Experience coordinating SAP Basis, application, infrastructure, and project teams
Experience with Change and Release Management processes in enterprise environments
Experience working in complex, multi-team and multi-vendor environments
Strong understanding of production readiness, rollback, deployment risk, and operational controls
Experience with SAP Cloud ALM, SAP Solution Manager, SAP ChaRM, Rev-Trac, ServiceNow, and SAP Transport Management
Knowledge of ITIL Change Enablement and Release Management
SAP Platform Operations / SAP Basis knowledge
Release planning and dependency management
Strong understanding of auditability and change traceability
Knowledge of DevOps and continuous delivery principles in SAP environments
Strong coordination, planning, and stakeholder management skills
Ability to understand SAP transport dependencies and technical constraints while coordinating multiple stakeholders
