About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design, plan, organize, and manage complex global HR projects
  • Lead projects supporting HR Services, Payroll, Compensation, Benefits, Talent, and HR transformation initiatives
  • Lead cross-functional, multidisciplinary, and global teams
  • Execute corporate-wide strategic initiatives and manage associated organizational change
  • Develop project plans, coordinate resources, and manage implementation activities on time and on budget
  • Develop processes for program rollout and ensure ongoing support of project owners and team members
  • Communicate with and influence senior management through timely reports and presentations
  • Ensure alignment with PMO governance processes, tools, templates, and PMI standards
  • Define workstreams, sub-workstreams, actions, owners, and milestones
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly project reports and updates
  • Conduct risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies
  • Document RAID items to support project objectives
  • Oversee project costs and budgets with the PMO Business Analyst and project owners
  • Liaise between HR Centers of Excellence, HR functions, and enterprise teams
  • Coordinate training and information required for project, program, and system implementation success
  • Manage change and compliance initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, standards, specifications, and best practices
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Past experience working in an HR PMO
  • Workday implementation experience
  • At least three years of related experience
  • PMI certification within the last 3 years
  • PMP, PgMP, CAPM, and/or comparable project management certification required
  • Strong project management acumen and understanding of program management methodologies
  • Project risk management knowledge
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, problem-solving, communication, report preparation, and research skills
  • Ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously
  • Ability to manage project dependencies across organizational initiatives
  • Strong time management and attention to detail
  • Consultative, listening, coaching, influencing, and facilitation skills
  • Ability to build relationships across business lines and organizational levels
  • Ability to manage independently, prioritize tasks, and delegate appropriately
  • Understanding of HR functions and related projects, processes, or practices, or ability to learn quickly
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management tools, including Microsoft Project
  • Understanding of databases and project management software
  • Must be open to working flexible hours as part of a global team
  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, or Technology
  • Ability to work for prolonged periods at a desk and computer
