About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Execute migration runbooks for assigned Power BI scope, including workspace artefacts, access remapping tasks, and post-migration validation checks
- Run validation for reports and datasets and complete functional smoke tests
- Document findings and attach evidence
- Support refresh and gateway reconfiguration steps where in scope
- Validate connectivity and scheduled refresh behaviour
- Resolve standard defects using playbooks and escalate appropriately with complete diagnostics
- Maintain high-quality ticket hygiene and evidence capture per wave
- Participate in shift handovers and ensure work can be continued seamlessly
- Support reporting on throughput counts, defect categories, and recurring issues
- Provide hypercare support post-cutover
- Resolve incidents and contribute to runbook improvements
- Work as part of a 24x7 factory team measured on throughput, quality, and defect resolution
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum 7 years of experience
- Hands-on experience in Power BI tenant-to-tenant migration execution in production
- Strong working knowledge of Power BI Service, including workspaces, permissions, datasets, reports, and operational issues
- Experience executing repeatable migration runbooks with strict evidence capture and closure standards
- Experience with post-migration validation and resolving access, refresh, and missing dependency issues
- Experience working in shift-based environments with formal handovers and queue/backlog management
- Strong documentation skills for tickets, handovers, and escalations
- Ability to work under time-sensitive cutover pressure while maintaining quality and compliance
- Strong communication, collaboration, risk identification, and escalation skills
- Willingness to work in a three-shift 24x7 Factory model
- PL-300 certification or equivalent preferred
- Experience with third-party Power BI tenant migration tools preferred
- Knowledge of Power BI data source connectivity, gateways, and operational monitoring preferred
- Experience supporting enterprise cutovers and hypercare models preferred
- Experience improving shared migration runbooks and operational playbooks preferred
