About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
  • Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other testing
  • Enter patient information accurately and timely
  • Process billing information and collect payments when required
  • Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis
  • Maintain patient and specimen information logs
  • Provide superior customer service to patients
  • Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary
  • Travel to additional sites when needed
  • Work in a Patient Service Center or Client office
  • Serve as the face of Labcorp while performing skilled specimen collections

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Valid Washington-issued Phlebotomy License
  • Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
  • Be at least 21 years of age or older
  • Reliable transportation and clean driving record
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed
  • Exceptional customer service
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment
  • Comfortable working under minimal supervision
  • Preferred: 1 or more years of phlebotomy experience
  • Preferred: 6 or more months of current or prior Labcorp experience in phlebotomy
  • An application for a phlebotomy license filed with the WA Department of Health at time of hire may meet the license requirement
