Key responsibilities & impact

Lead large-scale, cross-functional global payroll and workforce time projects from strategy through execution
Drive payroll harmonization, process standardization, and transformation initiatives across regions and business units
Identify and implement automation, technology enhancements, and innovative solutions to improve efficiency, accuracy, and compliance
Establish governance frameworks, project roadmaps, and performance metrics for sustainable operational excellence
Partner with senior leadership to develop and execute payroll and time strategies aligned with organizational priorities
Use advanced analytics and reporting to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and actionable insights
Ensure global compliance with payroll, wage and hour, timekeeping, and regulatory requirements
Lead, mentor, and develop project and operational teams
Support internal and external audit data requests, coordinating with internal stakeholders
Evaluate and optimize payroll systems, integrations, vendor relationships, and service delivery models
Establish governance, manage risks and dependencies, and drive execution of complex transformation and system implementation projects
Prioritize competing initiatives and resources while delivering measurable business results
Present strategic recommendations, business cases, project status, and organizational risks to senior and executive leadership
Lead organizational change initiatives and drive adoption of new processes, technologies, and operating models
Develop high-performing teams and organizational capability to support business growth and transformation
Engage with internal and external stakeholders through virtual and in-person meetings
Periodically travel to support strategic initiatives, project implementations, and leadership engagements

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field
10+ years of progressive payroll experience, including global payroll operations, payroll project management, payroll technology, and/or workforce time management
5+ years of leadership experience managing payroll, project, or cross-functional teams in a complex, multinational organization
Preferred: Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA), Human Resources, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field
Preferred: Certified Payroll Professional (CPP), Global Payroll Management Institute (GPMI), PMP, Prosci Change Management, Lean Six Sigma, or similar professional certification
Experience leading large-scale payroll implementations, transformations, system enhancements, acquisitions, collective bargaining agreement pay practice implementations, harmonization initiatives, or enterprise change programs
Strong knowledge of payroll compliance, tax regulations, wage and hour requirements, and payroll controls across multiple jurisdictions
Experience presenting recommendations, project status, and strategic initiatives to senior leadership and executive stakeholders
Expertise with Workday HCM, Workday Payroll, Workday Time, ADP SmartCompliance, ADP GlobalView and Streamline, payroll integrations, and advanced reporting/analytics tools
Deep expertise in global payroll, workforce time management, payroll technologies, and compliance requirements across multiple jurisdictions
Ability to identify, engage, and partner cross-functionally with stakeholders and influence decision-making at the executive level
Ability to communicate complex operational impacts and drive alignment across global stakeholders
Ability to operate effectively in a hybrid or office-based environment
Flexibility for occasional extended or non-traditional business hours
Ability to periodically travel to support strategic initiatives, project implementations, and leadership engagements
