About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead enterprise technology strategy and strategic planning, translating the CITO’s vision and business priorities into a multi-year technology strategy, roadmap, and investment agenda
  • Establish annual strategic frameworks and priorities for Technology
  • Align technology leadership, business strategy, architecture, product and platform roadmaps, and investment decisions
  • Establish and lead the Enterprise Portfolio Office (EPO)
  • Own enterprise portfolio planning, demand management, prioritization, investment planning, capacity allocation, portfolio optimization, and re-planning
  • Lead executive portfolio and value reviews and support senior-level governance forums
  • Establish and lead the Value Management Office (VMO) framework, methodology, and governance
  • Define benefits-realization frameworks and lead value engineering across the technology portfolio
  • Own the enterprise technology business-case framework
  • Establish and lead the Technology Business Management (TBM) discipline
  • Develop technology economic models, investment analytics, and scenario modeling
  • Partner with Finance and Technology leadership on strategic, portfolio, financial, and investment planning
  • Lead the evolution from project-based delivery toward product-, platform-, and value-stream-oriented operating models
  • Provide leadership oversight for Enterprise Architecture and Technology Strategy
  • Integrate architectural direction, modernization priorities, technology standards, and lifecycle considerations into investment decisions
  • Own strategy, governance, adoption, and intelligence for portfolio management platforms including Clarity and Mission Control
  • Advance AI, intelligent automation, analytics, and scenario modeling for portfolio intelligence and executive decision-making
  • Provide leadership for Corporate Business Relationship Management and demand management
  • Lead and develop an organization spanning strategy, portfolio management, value management, TBM, architecture strategy, portfolio platforms, and business relationship management
  • Advise senior Technology leadership and represent Technology in enterprise forums and with external partners

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree; equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered
  • 12 or more years of progressive experience in technology strategy, portfolio management, value management, technology business management, financial management, enterprise architecture, product/platform management, or related technology leadership disciplines
  • 7 or more years of leadership experience, including responsibility for leading teams, functions, or enterprise-level capabilities within a large, complex organization
  • Experience developing and translating enterprise or technology strategy into actionable priorities, investment decisions, roadmaps, and measurable business outcomes
  • Experience leading enterprise portfolio planning, investment governance, prioritization, capacity planning, or value-realization disciplines
  • Experience applying financial and investment-management principles to technology decisions, including business cases, total cost of ownership, investment analysis, benefits realization, and financial performance
  • Experience influencing senior executives and leading cross-functional decision-making across Technology, Finance, Product, Architecture, and business organizations
  • Experience leading large-scale organizational change, operating-model transformation, or implementation of enterprise management disciplines
  • Experience operating with significant autonomy in a complex environment
  • Strong executive communication and analytical capabilities
  • Experience leading technology strategy, EPO, VMO, TBM, or similar enterprise capabilities
  • Experience managing or influencing significant technology investment portfolios
  • Experience designing or implementing product-, platform-, or value-stream-based operating and funding models
  • Strong understanding of technology economics, including total cost of ownership, unit economics, cost transparency, investment modeling, benefits realization, and value-based decision-making
  • Experience integrating enterprise architecture, modernization priorities, and technology roadmaps into strategic planning and investment governance
  • Experience with enterprise portfolio management and TBM platforms such as Clarity, Apptio, or comparable technologies
  • Experience applying AI, advanced analytics, and intelligent automation to strategy, portfolio management, investment analysis, or enterprise management processes
  • Experience operating within a highly regulated, global, or complex enterprise environment
  • Relevant professional certifications or demonstrated expertise in TBM, portfolio management, product management, financial management, enterprise architecture, or organizational transformation
  • Ability to travel approximately 20% as needed
  • Master’s Degree preferred
