About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the genetic results counseling program for hereditary cancer and adult genetics
  • Provide results to patients using an innovative genetic results reporting approach
  • Review risk assessments and results reports for patients undergoing hereditary cancer testing
  • Engage in professional growth opportunities, including abstracts and publications, physician education, and other projects
  • Collaborate with a nationwide organization of medical geneticists, biochemical and molecular geneticists, and over 100 counseling colleagues
  • Support multiple clients nationally

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Master’s degree in Human Genetics or Genetic Counseling
  • American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC) certification or Active Candidate Status for ABGC
  • Multi State Genetic Counselor licensure or ability to obtain it
  • 2 years or more experience of hereditary cancer Genetic Counseling post completion of Master’s Degree (preferred)
  • Highly organized, including excellent time management skills
  • Strong multi-tasking ability with excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong computer skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm local time zone
