About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Prepare detailed specifications for instrument interfaces, middleware platforms, supporting services, programs and/or applications
Design, code, test, debug, and troubleshoot interfaces, services, programs, and applications
Analyze, review, and alter programs to increase operating efficiency or adapt to new requirements
Assist with support and maintenance of systems and applications
Provide on-call support for production systems
Provide support during and after system implementations and conversions
Consult with users to identify current operating procedures and clarify program objectives

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's Degree
5 or more years' of experience developing applications for the Windows Family of OSs using Client Server or Web based architecture
7 or more years of experience with JPA/ORM (Hibernate), Junit, SQL, XML/XSD, JSON experience, Cache’, Oracle, Iris for Health
5 or more years' experience and solid troubleshooting skills for enterprise level production systems, to include instrument interfaces, middleware platforms and Laboratory Information Systems
5 or more years' experience with the ability to develop within InterSystems Cache’/Iris for Health and Windows applications
5 or more years' experience with the ability to develop within Laboratory Information Systems, instrument interfaces, and middleware platforms
5 or more years' experience with the ability to develop technical design documentation using Microsoft Word, Visio and other tools
5 or more years' experience with the ability to perform data modeling and system configuration
Working knowledge with CSP and Web Services
Ability to learn existing applications through reviewing code and analyzing data
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
Experience in Healthcare applications and systems
Preferred: Current or prior Labcorp experience
Preferred: 5 or more years' of experience with Java Messaging Service
Preferred: 5 or more years' of experience with WebLogic/WebSphere
Preferred: 5 or more years' of experience with RESTful Web Services
Preferred: 5 or more years' of experience with Java and Spring and Angular 2.X or later experience
