About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
- Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other purposes
- Perform accurate and timely data entry of patient information
- Process billing information and collect payments when required
- Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis
- Maintain patient and specimen information logs
- Provide superior customer service to patients
- Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary
- Travel to additional sites when needed
- Work across multiple clinics and patient service center locations as a float phlebotomist
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or equivalent
- Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency may substitute for work experience
- 9 months or more experience as a Phlebotomist preferred
- Coverage for Bloomington, Burnsville, Coon Rapids, Edina, Golden Valley, Maple Grove, St. Anthony, North & South Dakota and surrounding areas
- Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
- Ability to work in fast paced / high volume work environments
- Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Valid Driver's License and clean driving record
- Reliable transportation
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Comfortable working under minimal supervision
- Monday-Friday availability with variable hours from 7:00am-6:00pm and rotational Saturdays
