About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Sell laboratory testing services to healthcare professionals, clinical and C-suite decision-makers, genetics providers, neurologists, cardiologists, pediatric subspecialists, regional medical groups, reference laboratories and hospitals
- Meet and exceed sales goals and maximize sales growth in the assigned territory
- Build and execute an annual business plan with quarterly updates
- Cold call and build a sales pipeline
- Forecast and maintain a sales funnel aligned with a 90-day quota
- Manage travel logistics to maximize sales productivity
- Collaborate with Labcorp Clinical Sales counterparts on new business opportunities
- Collaborate with team members to retain the current book of business
- Attend local and national professional trade shows and events as requested
- Communicate value propositions to targeted customers and prospects
- Perform in-services, training and implementation with personnel and physician staff
- Update customer account information in Salesforce CRM
- Provide customer support, product education and market updates
- Report to the Regional Director
- Prospect, develop and close personal sales targets monthly
- Call on physicians in person and travel regularly within Northern Florida
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5 or more years of medical outside sales experience
- 1 or more years of Rare disease experience and relationships with hospital systems, genetics, cardiology, neurology and/or pediatric subspecialties (preferred)
- Previous laboratory or diagnostics sales experience
- Medical device sales experience and business-to-business experience
- Proven success managing a book of business
- Ability to collaborate closely with sales and operations teams to grow the business
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated track record of recent success and sales accomplishments
- Strong consultative selling and closing skills
- Ability to understand and articulate complex scientific literature and use extensive and complex clinical data as a key factor in the sales process
- Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Ability to travel 50% including occasional overnights
- Ideal candidate will reside within the Northern Florida territory
