About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the commercial business for assigned customers, markets, or geographies to deliver revenue, profit, volume, market share, and growth objectives
- Develop, execute, and optimize integrated customer and commercial business plans
- Build and maintain relationships with customers and cross-functional partners including Finance, Supply Chain, Marketing, Customer Operations, Legal, Commercial Planning, Demand Planning, and Analytics
- Lead annual business planning, forecasting, budgeting, and performance management
- Manage trade investments, profit and loss scenarios, pricing strategies, and financial objectives
- Leverage customer, category, market, and industry insights to identify opportunities and develop value propositions
- Develop and execute category, assortment, distribution, pricing, merchandising, promotional, and portfolio strategies
- Monitor, analyze, and communicate business performance using internal and external data and analytical tools
- Develop accurate forecasts and balance demand, supply, inventory, and financial objectives
- Serve as a business and category advisor to customers
- Identify and deliver strategic initiatives and business opportunities
- Lead collaborative business planning with customer leadership teams using joint business plans and scorecards
- Align and mobilize organizational resources to support priorities
- Lead, develop, and coach sales and account management teams
- Manage business operations including budgets, trade investments, compliance, staffing, compensation, and commercial processes
- Provide leadership consistent with company strategy and foster collaboration, accountability, continuous improvement, and customer focus
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Business Management or related field preferred
- Minimum 7+ years of progressive sales experience with increasing levels of responsibility, including large account management and commercial leadership
- Ability to develop and execute strategic business plans, manage financial performance, analyze complex business issues, and align commercial objectives with broader organizational goals
- Strong category management and customer planning capabilities preferred
- Ability to partner with cross-functional stakeholders and align resources to deliver business objectives and customer solutions
- People leadership experience preferred, with at least 5 years leading, coaching, or supervising teams
- Experience within the role-related industry and major customer/account management environments highly desirable
- Ability to lead, develop, and motivate teams; establish clear objectives; manage performance; and drive results through others
- Ability to influence and collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams and organizational levels
- Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English proficiently
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM platforms
- Experience using business intelligence, analytics, forecasting, and reporting tools preferred
- Ability to travel independently up to 50% of the time, including occasional international travel
- Valid driver's license and ability to meet company driving standards required
- Valid Driver’s License and driving record that meets Lamb Weston Driving Standards
- Ability to work in a temperature-controlled office environment and perform the stated physical demands
