About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead and develop a regional team of field sales representatives
  • Train and develop the sales team to achieve optimum sales results
  • Apply national and zone strategies to the team’s current and developing book of business
  • Train the sales team in utilizing syndicated data and provide business insights and actionable plans for operator customers
  • Activate financial levers such as pricing
  • Lead work through others and oversee sales representatives
  • Create and achieve goals using cost drivers while balancing volume and profit goals
  • Develop consultative, fact-based selling proposals and presentations
  • Create business plans to drive profitable value-added growth and build customer relationships

  • Manage and document customer and sales activity in the assigned sales system
  • Interact with cross-functional Lamb Weston teams to meet the sales plan
  • Analyze sales metrics and coach the team on best practices and improvement opportunities
  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts
  • Coach the team to act on customer feedback and generate ideas for new features or products
  • Plan and participate in manager onboarding, sales, sales skills and tools, and team training
  • Establish cross-functional partnerships and develop long-term strategic vision
  • Execute Lamb Weston strategies, initiatives, and programs with customers
  • Collaborate with customers to develop and execute business plans

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in similar field preferred
  • 5+ years of sales experience
  • Management experience preferred
  • Ability to use Microsoft Suite
  • Experience using CRM systems, preferably Salesforce.com
  • Experience with sales tools including Tibersoft, PROs, and DOMO
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • Ability to negotiate
  • Ability to read, write and speak in English required
  • Strong business management skills, including financial management skills
  • Strategic mindset
  • Ability to travel independently
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license
  • Ability to meet Company driving standards
  • Travel up to 50% of the time, including local and overnight travel
