About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Identify, define, and document problems or situations requiring attention or improvement
  • Provide technical support for Supply Chain Applications supporting Agriculture, Customer Service, Planning, Logistics, Procurement, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Environmental/Social/Governance
  • Locate, collect, and organize information to enhance understanding of problems and facilitate communication
  • Study, examine, and interpret complex problems by separating them into discrete components
  • Analyze, design, and champion software solutions by writing code or configuring commercial off-the-shelf or customer-developed systems
  • Construct, configure, install, and maintain complex applications or system software
  • Create and update system, user, testing, and training documentation
  • Participate in conceptual and detailed design activities against project requirements
  • Adhere to system development standards and process methodology
  • Develop functional, integration, regression, and stress test plans
  • Translate business requirements into technical solutions/plans for engineers
  • Analyze business process issues and provide consulting assistance to system users
  • Conduct research on possible solutions and make recommendations
  • Advise on application development, configuration, and support workloads supplied by managed service providers
  • Interface with internal and external teams across North America and other global locations
  • Support multiple 24/7 facilities through on-call responsibilities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field preferred
  • 4+ years of experience in an applications development environment
  • Experience developing applications with VB, C#, JavaScript, ASP, Python and .Net
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in SQL query language and relational databases
  • Proficient communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Some travel may be required- 10%
  • On Call Responsibilities supporting multiple 24/7 facilities
  • Strong knowledge of computer software and hardware
  • Ability to solve problems and think analytically
  • Detail-oriented
