About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Identify, analyze, and qualify relevant public procurement opportunities, including RFPs, RFIs, RFQs, and solicitations
- Monitor SAM.gov, state/local e-procurement sites, and cooperative purchasing schedules
- Prospect for public sector opportunities through targeted outreach and industry networking
- Engage procurement officers, small business liaisons, program managers, and prime contractor partners
- Lead early capture efforts and identify strategic teaming, subcontracting, and joint venture opportunities
- Partner with Sales Enablement, pricing, and service delivery teams on compliant proposal responses
- Ensure pricing alignment and provide voice-of-the-customer insights for government submissions
- Conduct discovery sessions and capabilities briefings with agency decision makers
- Evaluate agency language access and communication mandates, including Title VI and Section 508 compliance
- Maintain capture status, agency touchpoints, contract vehicles, and pipeline forecasts in Microsoft Dynamics
- Report directly to the Director of Sales
- Perform other duties as assigned or required
Requirements
What you’ll need- Proven track record of hitting pipeline generation and capture targets within federal, state, or municipal government spaces
- Solid understanding of public procurement lifecycles
- Understanding of government contracting regulations (FAR/DFARS)
- Knowledge of common purchasing vehicles, including GSA Multiple Award Schedules, IDIQs, and BPAs
- Exceptional verbal, written, formal briefing, and consultative presentation skills
- Experience collaborating on formal RFP/RFI proposal development
- Experience with teaming agreements with prime and sub-contractors
- Strong pipeline discipline and organizational skills
- Experience using Microsoft Dynamics CRM to manage long-cycle public sector procurement workflows
