About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assist with the administration of SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, and PostgreSQL databases, including creation, maintenance, and updates
  • Develop technical skills in Oracle environments by participating in internal training, assisted projects, and supervised activities
  • Perform backup and recovery routines under supervision
  • Assist with database performance monitoring and report generation
  • Handle database-related support tickets and assist users
  • Collaborate with development teams to analyze and optimize SQL queries
  • Document database-related processes and technical manuals
  • Assist with implementing basic security and access control policies
  • Support data migration activities and version upgrades
  • Assist with the maintenance, monitoring, and support of database environments, ensuring data availability, security, and performance

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Completed or ongoing bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field
  • Basic knowledge of SQL and relational database administration
  • Familiarity with database monitoring and backup tools
  • ITIL v3 Foundation or higher certification preferred
  • MTA/MCSA SQL Server certification or equivalent preferred
  • Introductory knowledge of Oracle environments preferred
  • Experience in database analysis or support-related roles
