About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the design, implementation, and maintenance of the firm’s enterprise software application platforms
  • Propose enhancements and new software solutions for legal professionals and administrative departments
  • Troubleshoot software problems for firm users related to firmwide and departmentally-driven technology projects
  • Install, maintain, and upgrade software for all firm users
  • Make recommendations to the manager regarding standards for firm software
  • Produce training materials and deliver training to regional trainers, the Global Technology Support Centre, and end-users
  • Provide additional end-user technical support
  • Support administration, maintenance, and optimization of people/organization software or recruitment software

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science or a related field or appropriate work experience
  • Knowledge and proficiency in the administration and deployment of Microsoft Windows Enterprise, Microsoft Windows Server, and Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Knowledge and proficiency with administration and maintenance of relational databases used by supported applications
  • Proficiency with unattended software deployment tools
  • Experience in a software support role
  • Experience providing upper-level support, training, or mentoring for other technology department personnel, preferably
  • Experience with enterprise-class software installations and upgrades, training, and technical documentation, preferably
  • Experience supporting a large, multi-office environment, preferably
