About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as a strategic advisor for and support the firm’s lawyer and business services professionals affinity groups and multicultural coalitions
  • Partner with the Inclusion, Opportunity & Community Committee and IOC leadership
  • Provide strategic direction, align priorities, and deliver coordinated support to Affinity Group leaders globally
  • Lead development and continuous improvement of Affinity Group and Multicultural Coalition infrastructure, operations, and best practices
  • Manage leadership engagement, communications, subcommittees and working groups, expense review and approval, intranet resources, member feedback, reporting, record keeping, and formation and launch of new groups and chapters
  • Oversee Affinity Group leader rotations and manage onboarding and orientation for new global and local leaders
  • Liaise with Office Managing Partners, Directors of Administration, the Associates Committee, IOC leadership, Human Resources, the Office of General Counsel, and other stakeholders
  • Guide annual strategy and budget development and execution with Affinity Group leaders
  • Organize cross-group meetings to promote information sharing, coordination, consistency, and partnership
  • Identify and advance partnership opportunities across Affinity Groups and Multicultural Coalitions
  • Develop shared resources, processes, and tools to support all groups
  • Protect and maintain highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and proprietary information

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Juris Doctor or master’s degree in related field preferred
  • Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in inclusion, opportunity, and community work or professional services; law firm experience preferred
  • Minimum of five (5) years of cumulative experience
  • Minimum of two (2) years of managerial experience
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Exceptional and professional interpersonal skills, including active listening
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to interact with people at all organizational levels
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently and in a team environment with a customer-service focus
