About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Supervise the daily operations of the relevant Conflicts team
- Monitor team capacity and provide regular performance feedback
- Act as a key point of escalation
- Guide the team on complex conflicts checks
- Support the team’s professional development
- Generate performance evaluations and recommend salary increases
- Work with Human Capital & Talent to recruit, hire, train, coach, and manage employee performance
- Supervise orientation and training programs for new staff members
- Lead complex new business and lateral attorney conflicts checks
- Assemble teams to work cooperatively on major projects
- Supervise workflow and ensure tasks are completed on time according to firm guidelines and policies
- Collaborate with supervisors and managers to ensure follow-up and handoff of urgent matters and issues
- Protect and maintain sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and proprietary information
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Paralegal certificate or equivalent, completion of another legal educational or certification program, or Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree, preferably
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a legal or professional services environment, preferably
- Minimum of five (5) years of cumulative experience
- Ability to use independent judgment and discretion when making the majority of decisions
- Ability to proofread others’ work for compliance and accuracy
- Excellent leadership skills, including organizing, planning, problem-solving, and decision-making
- Ability to work in a legal or professional services environment
- Ability to protect and maintain highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and proprietary information
