About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist the Manager – Client Events in delivering a successful events program
- Lead the organization of events
- Work independently on projects
- Partner with the Manager – Client Events to plan, project manage, and attend events
- Proactively coordinate event lifecycle activities, including planning meetings, checklists, budgets, expense processing, vendor management, onsite and virtual platform management, data management, and post-event analysis
- Curate targeted invitation lists for each event with stakeholders and the e-marketing team
- Draft event communications and collateral aligned with Latham branding
- Develop and control event budgets
- Identify, negotiate, and achieve cost savings with venues and vendors
- Stay abreast of event best practices and market and industry trends
- Protect and maintain highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and proprietary information
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- An events qualification, preferably
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a business development or marketing role
- Experience in a professional services environment, preferably
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Well-developed and professional interpersonal skills
- Ability to interact and communicate effectively with clients and staff at all organizational levels of the firm
- Ability to work in a team environment with a customer-service focus
