About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build the entire zero-to-one commercial motion while closing deals
  • Source pipeline through trigger events including CFO, COO, and VP hires, private-equity acquisitions, minimum-wage increases, post-audit-season budget cycles, and DOL activity
  • Run discovery and anchor value to identifiable cash exposure in prospects' portfolios
  • Close audit engagements and convert customers to subscriptions
  • Own the full sales cycle end to end without handoffs or support structure
  • Build the outbound engine, including list-building, trigger-event sourcing, Clay and Sales Navigator workflows, and outreach sequences
  • Write outbound emails and run sales opportunities
  • Coordinate delivery with the CEO and present findings
  • Document losses, wins, the sales process, and repeatable patterns
  • Feed market objections, integration needs, and converting language into product direction
  • Recruit and hire the future sales team once the customer profile is validated
  • Work directly with the CEO and participate on the leadership team

Requirements

What you’ll need

  • System for identifying accounts, manufacturing urgency, and reaching decision-makers without warm introductions
  • Closed middle-market deals in the $100,000–$300,000 range
  • Experience closing deals in weeks to a few months, rather than transactional volume or an 18-month enterprise motion
  • Sold analytical products such as data, intelligence, business performance software, fintech, or workforce analytics
  • Ability to translate findings into financial impact on a CFO's P&L
  • Strong written communication and ability to write specific outbound emails
  • Comfortable building the entire commercial motion without RevOps, content team, or established brand awareness
  • Restaurant experience is useful but not required
  • Experience selling to CFO/COO buyers and middle-market customers
  • Strong advantage: experience selling to restaurant groups, hospitality operators, or multi-unit food service
  • Strong advantage: experience with data or intelligence software companies, restaurant technology, BI platforms, or workforce analytics
  • Strong advantage: experience in a founder-led, pre-scale environment
  • Strong advantage: personal network of CFOs, COOs, or multi-unit operators at 10–200-location restaurant groups
  • Tampa-based candidates strongly preferred; relocation possible for ideal candidates
